Summer at Brookwood is a coeducational summer camp for students entering Pre-Kindergarten (ages 4+) through grade 8. Summer at Brookwood creates a fun and supportive environment in which students thrive in athletics, enrichment, and the arts. We develop friendships, the body, the mind, and the imagination. Our summer camp staff - many of them Brookwood teachers, coaches, and alumni - are 100% committed to fostering a fun, safe, and exciting environment for your child.

MAC Pedal to End Cancer

Pedal to End Cancer American Cancer Society Manchester Athletic Club, Manchester

The Manchester Athletic Club will be hosting the annual Pedal to End Cancer Fundraiser on Sunday March 1, 2015 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. along with over 60 clubs throughout New England. It is a 3-hour Indoor Cycling event with an effort to raise funds towards the American Cancer Society.All members and non-members are invited and encouraged to join us to honor cancer survivors , raise awareness about reducing the cancer risk, and raise money to help the American Cancer Society fight this terrible disease. If you are interested in participating we still have bikes available!

Wingmasters at Manchester Public Library

Wingmasters demonstrate live birds of prey of various specious in Massachusetts

Birds of prey have inspired artists from prehistoric times to the present day. Manchester Public Library invites us to register for a unique art opportunity to draw four birds of prey with Jim Parks of Wingmasters. Audience members will quickly learn what fascinating models birds of prey make as we discover each bird's characteristics to gain a fuller understanding of what defines a bird of prey.  Bring your favorite pencils and paper - the library will have very basic supplies on hand too.

Bloomsbury Books, UK, is sponsoring an international Harry Potter Book night and the Manchester Public Library is joining in! Whether you have found yourself in Slytherin or Griffindor in the past, fancy yourself more of a Hufflepuff or Ravenclaw, we’ll have activities and games for you.

Kirgami with Miss Sara at MPL

Paper snowflakes are one example of kirgami

Manchester Public Library invites kids and adults to an afternoon of Kirgami with Miss Sara!  Kirigami is the Japanese art of cutting paper, named from the words 'kiru' (to cut) and 'kami' (paper). Symmetry or balance is a very important concept in Kirigami. Snowflakes, pentagrams, and flowers are all examples of Kirigami projects in which cuts are made to enhance the symmetry of the design.

Manchester Concert & Tree Lighting

Celebrate the start of the Christmas Season in downtown Manchester, Mass!

As part of the Christmas-by-the-Sea celebrations in Manchester there will be a Christmas concert at the First Parish Church and the tree lighting ceremony at Manchester Town Green immediately after the concert. This is also the kickoff of Manchester's 'Festival of Trees'.  Come enjoy the community spirit of the holidays and make lasting Holiday memories for your children!
